Lookout Mountain, located just a few miles from the Georgia/Tennessee border, is a great family destination. At 1,700 feet above sea level, you'll have panoramic views of seven states. On your second day, travel 45 minutes south to Cloudland Canyon, located in Cloudland Canyon State Park. Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, here you'll find one of the most scenic spots in Georgia. Hike to the bottom for the most spectacular waterfalls and shale pools. See the massive gullies which are up to 150 feet deep or visitors can enjoy views of the canyons from the rim trail.
