It's time for Tellabration - an evening when storytellers across the world entertain audiences of all ages with exciting tales. Here in Northeast Georgia, the Sautee Nacoochee Center will host Tellabration! in our community of Sautee and Helen.
In 1988, Tellabration! took place for the first time in six towns in Connecticut. Since then it has grown to over 400 official sites (on every continent except Antartica!). The combines audience is expected to be over 34,000 this year.
In 2009, the Sautee Nacoochee Center hosted a Tellabration! showcasing Jo Carson (co-writer of Headwaters) and an ensemble of local talent. Debbie Weston From, Marie Dunkle and Lucy, David Fore, Bob Prim, Rosanne Kent and Gypsy Yo are some of the talented storytellers appeared on our stage. Plan to come up to the Northeast Georgia Mountains in 2010 for an equally spectacular time!
Turn off the television and gather at the Center for an evening of real entertainment. Tellabration will start at 8:00pm on November 15. Tickets are $15 for members, $20 for non-members, and $8 for kids between the ages of 6 - 17.
