Telfair County, Georgia kicks off the 2011 Christmas Season with the following activities:

• Thursday, December 1:

Jingle Bell Walk: 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Helena-McRae, Georgia) Join us as we take a walk thrru Helena on 8th Avenue and McRae on Oak Street. Line up for the walk will be on Forsyth Street * Helena, GA. The walk line up begins at 5:00 p.m. and the walk will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. Bring your jingle bells and help us officially begin the Christmas Season in Telfair County.

Christmas Night Out: 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. (Helena-McRae, Georgia) Take a stroll along the streets of Helena and McRae, Georgia, shop and sample delicious food from local Merchants. Santa will be making an appearance so the kids can get their wish list in early.

• Friday, December 2: 

Annual Lighted Christmas Parade: 6:00 p.m. (Helena-McRae, Georgia) The parade route will be along 8th Ave-Helena and Oak Street McRae, ending at Piggly Wiggly.
