ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Best Time To Visit: No matter when you come, you’re sure to find why we say "Each Season Something New". Union County is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia where Mother Nature reigns supreme. Sixty percent of the County is national forest with hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes and trout streams. Delight in the explosion of autumn leaf color in the mountains, or cuddle up in a cozy cabin during winter. Spring brings vibrant colors with blooming dogwoods lacing the mountainsides. Comfortable summer days, with cool nights, let you enjoy outdoor activities including horseback riding and golfing. Year-round Downtown Blairsville offers a variey of family-friendly restaurants, shopping and antiquing venues, or plan your trip around one of our unique festivals.

What You'll Need for Your Visit: Your individual activities will dictate what you need to bring. Spring and fall bring warm days and cool nights. Summers are generally not hot, but evenings remain warm and comfortable. Winters are generally mild, requiring jackets, but don't be surprised by an occational snow.
