Historic Sacred Heart Cultural Center in downtown Augusta, Georgia will be the location for classic southern gardening during the Annual Garden Festival scheduled for April 17 – May 1. Out…Standing in the Garden is this year’s theme focusing on organic and kitchen gardening and design. Visit Sacred Heart to bid on a shed built by Jimmy Garren and wander through landscaped garden plots; visit the Garden Market and Vendor Village filled with unusual plant materials, home and garden accessories; and view floral designs by exhibitors and The Augusta Council of Garden Clubs’ Scarecrows. Be sure to join the “Tour of Gardens” featuring seven of the area’s finest private gardens and join the Nola Falcone Speaker Series featuring noted landscape designers Ryan Gainey and Mary Palmer Dargan and Hugh Dargan.

Held in a Private Garden, the Festival Tea will treat guests to high tea in an amazing garden. Opens at 4 pm, tea and lecture at 5 pm
