Best Time To Visit: Hills & Dales Estate is open year-round. Late March and early April are popular for spring flowers including azaleas. During the summer the herb garden and colorful annuals reach their peak. The historic ginkgos turn a beautiful yellow in autumn. December 3-23 enjoy the Callaway home decorated for the holidays.
What You'll Need for Your Visit: The historic garden has pea gravel paths and numerous steps. We suggest comfortable shoes.
This is an event that has been enjoyed by an increasing number of guests in the past two years. If you arrive with a picnic basket and blanket, you and your family will be admitted to the garden at no charge. You may walk to the picnic area along a beautiful meandering trail, or your family might prefer to ride the Hills & Dales tram to a shady grassy knoll to picnic. Come join the fun, Saturday, May 8th, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
