Georgia Peanut Festival

The Georgia Peanut Festival, in Sylvester, GA, takes place the third weekend in October. Activities include one of the largest parades in the Southeast and a beauty pageant with up to 100 contestants. Craftsmen from all over the state showcase their creations. Most importantly, you’ll experience peanut treats to delight everyone in the family. Did you know that every jar of Peter Pan peanut butter is made in Sylvester, GA? While you're in town, make sure you visit the "Ole Engine 100," where you can see an old steam locomotive. For a great family picnic, try T.C. Jeffords Park, where parents can let their children play on the playground while you sit in the shade and enjoy the Georgia fall season.
