- Additional Info: No smoking or guest candles inside or on our wooden porches. Smoking is limited to the grounds or parking lots away from the Inn. Any violation of this policy will result in a restoration fee equal to a minimum of one night’s lodging plus all cleaning costs. Smokers who render a room unacceptable for incoming guests must compensate the inn for lost revenue. The romantic Beechwood Inn is located on the scenic Georgia Wine Highway in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Built in 1916 and opened as a B&B in 1922, the inn's romantic accommodations and impeccable service unite to form a backdrop of relaxed refinement perfect for romantic getaways.
Our guest room suites and our private cottage are individually decorated. Most have fireplaces and all have private baths. The Beechwood Inn restaurant features a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence selection of vintages from its own wine cellar.
Guest rooms are all individually decorated with handmade quilts, woven rugs, early American rustic antiques, and original artwork. Also: luxury 600-thread-count linens; air conditioning; working fireplaces in most guest rooms; warm, fluffy robes; luxury soaps and spa amenities; and Teac retro-style stereo CD player. Many rooms have private balconies or patios.
The inn features: board games; music room with piano, dulcimers, fiddle and guitars; sitting room/library; two-course gourmet breakfast; complimentary bottled water and soft drinks; evening wine and appetizers; and home-baked cookies and fresh fruit (always available).

Best Inn Ever
Just a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Very clean, spectacular view, wonderful decor. Perfect for a romantic get-a-way. The food was fabulous.

Great Anniversary
The Inn is charming and the innkeepers extremely personable and helpful. The food was all organic and locally sourced which we appreciated. The wines are locally made by the innkeepers who are obvious experts as they are quite enjoyable. Additionally, the condition of the Inn was perfect: impeccable cleanliness, amenities.
Activities nearby were fun and entertaining.

Directions
From Atlanta: Clayton, Georgia is just 90 miles from Atlanta. Take I-85 North from Atlanta to I-985 (which turns into Highway 441 at Cornelia) north to Clayton. At the first stop light in Clayton, turn right on Highway 76 East and go 150 yards to Beechwood Drive. Turn left and follow the Beechwood Inn signs up the hill. From Asheville, NC: Clayton Georgia is 90 miles from Asheville. Take I-40 East to Waynesville and take highway 23 South to Clayton. At the intersection of Highway 441/23 and Highway 76 East turn left on Highway 76 East and go 150 yards to Beechwood Drive. Turn left and follow the Beechwood Inn signs up the hill. From Greenville/Spartenburg, SC: Clayton is 45 miles from Greenville. Take I-85 South. At Anderson, SC, take Highway 76 West to Clayton. After you enter the city limits proceed 1/2 mile and turn right on Beechwood Drive - just after you pass the Stephens Federal Bank on your right.

Beechwood Inn Cooking School Package: Hands-on cooking classes in the Beechwood Inn professional kitchen; two nights luxury lodging (Sunday and Monday); breakfast Monday and Tuesday mornings; welcoming reception Sunday evening; lunch and dinner on class day that has been prepared by you during the cooking class. Dinner will be paired with fine wine. Participants will receive class materials with recipes, along with a keepsake Beechwood Inn Logo Apron. Space is limited to 10 people and rooms are first come first serve. Saturday Night Chef's Table Dining at Beechwood Inn

Beechwood Inn offers fine dining Saturday Night Prix Fixe Chef's Tasting Dinners. This means the only menu available each Saturday is pre-selected by our chefs based on what is seasonal and available that night. Limited substitutions can be made to the tasting menu only if you let us know in advance of your dietary restrictions. Most of our seasonal foods are organic and natural, many from sustainable North Georgia farms, orchards, dairies and vineyards. Due to the special nature of our foods and because of their higher cost advance reservations are needed. Cooking classes and farm tours can be arranged. The Inn features Northeast Georgia's only Wine Spectator Award of Excellence wine list.

November 22 – Traditional Southern-Style Thanksgiving Would you like a traditional Southern Thanksgiving Dinner but want someone else to do all the cooking and washing of dishes. Well come to the Beechwood Inn. We’ll have a cozy fire on the hearth and offer some sparkling wine and hors d’oevers. Then, sit back and loosen your belt as we will offer a family-style gourmet turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Best of all, we’ll do all the clean up and you can relax. There is a two day minimum stay. Thanksgiving dinner is $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Glass of Sparkling wine at 3:30; Family-style dinner at 4:00pm.
