Best Time To Visit: Summer is fun in Helen! Enjoy tubing down the cool Chattachoochee river right behind the hotel; pan for gold; ride horses; take a helicopter or hot air balloon ride or just take a hike! Fall is brilliant in an array of vivd leaf color; enjoy the cool nights and party at the longest Oktoberfest in the world! (Only one block from the hotel!) Spring bring your camera to capture the many flowering trees like dogwood, rhododendron, mountain laurel, and silverbells. Enjoy the winter around our fireplace and let it snow let snow let it snow!
What You'll Need for Your Visit: Summer - bring your water wading shoes for the rocky river; a push pole for your fun on the innertube, a fishing pole and some picnic supplies Fall - get out your best Dirndl and Liederhosen and join in the fun at the local Beer Garden - dancing and bands for 7 weeks during Oktoberfest. Evenings are cool so bring a sweater. In the winter discover tracks in the mountain snow - deer, turkey and other wildlife. Cozy around a fire, drink hot apple cider and bring a coat. It doesn't snow very much but when it does the mountains are beautiful. Spring - bring a camera, binoculars, and a picnic or just stop by the country store in Helen and enjoy the fresh breath of spring!

Directions
From Atlanta: take I-85 north to I-985 north to Exit 24. Turn north on Hwy 129 - go 23 mile north to Cleveland. In Cleveland turn north on Hwy 75 and go 9 miles to Helen. Hotel is on 75 which is also Main Street. From Points North: Take I-85 south to Exit 179 at Lavonia, GA. Go north on Hwy 17/75 45 miles into Helen.
