In 1988, Cedartown became a "Main Street City" and is a registered site in the National Register of Historic Places. This well defined district, featuring turn of the century buildings, is the centerpiece of a very active community.

The Silver Comet Trail, a rails-to-trail multi-use paved path runs right through town, bringing hundreds of visitors each month.  Visit the Welcome Center at the Cedartown Depot and discover the Sterling Holloway museum; you know him better as the voice of Winnie the Pooh.

Not to be outdone by big city entertainment, the Cedartown Performing Arts Center brings professional performances to the city each month such as Crystal Gayle’s Christmas Show, Sandi Patty, Ricky Scaggs, Forever Motown, Pure Prairie League and more.
