Best Time To Visit: Spring through late fall. The summer months can be hot and dry. The water level this past summer of 2011 was too low to paddle in August for a short time.

The Dub Denman Canoe Trail is located on the Tallapoosa River. At approximately 27 miles long in Haralson County, GA, the trail connects to the Alabama Canoe Trail. There are five launch sites along the river: US 27 North/Garner Rd-Buchanan, Poplar Springs Rd., GA100 N near Haralson County Waterworks, Broad Street and Liner Rd.-Tallapoosa.
