- Additional Info: We're open seven days a week. Reservations and our retail store are only closed on Christmas day. Our hours do vary according to the season. Typically we're open longer hours in the summer and shorter in the winter.
Amenities
- Some cabins and chalets are avalailable with either gas or electric fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, antler chandeliers, and private boat docks. We have both smoking and non-smoking cabins as well as pet and pet-free cabins. Our cottages and cabins provide accommodations for 4 to 12 people and feature high speed wireless internet, full kitchen facilities with microwaves, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils and Weber grills. All lodging includes towels, bedding, 78 channel color cable TV, air conditioning and heat. Additionally,children under 8 stay for free! We want to help stretch your budget. You'll also find horseshoes, boat rentals, jet ski rentals, a great waterfront restaurant, a fully stocked boating supply store, a huge tackle store and a wonderful new gift shop.

Best Time To Visit: November through February - Mild winters with temps in the 60's. The best time for viewing our Golden Eagles, Bald Eagle and wintering Northern Loons. Also great striper fishing. March through May - The best time for awesome fishing for Crappie, Spotted Bass, Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Stripers and Hybrid Bass.

I rented a cabin for the weekend thinking that it would be as nice as the photos, however the photos are extremly deceptive. The nice photos are of the 3 bedroom cabins because the one bedrooms remind me of a cheap stinky druggie motel. There was 3 inches of dirt/dust in along the base boards of the room, the carpet was musty who puts carpet in a lake cabin anyway? The kitchen is non existant, I have seen domitory kitchens larger and the bathroom is worse than a truck stop with a shower that was so small I had to step out of the shower to put soap on then step back in to rinse it off and God forbid you should even consider getting in without shower shoes on. The A/C was broken in the first cabin so they put me in another cabin with a unit that was so loud it wakes you up every 30 minutes during the night. They charge resort prices for motel benefits. Never will I go back there, the only thing good about Highland Marina is the view of the lake, location, location, location. But take your own chairs as the ones they provide are covered with dust, pollen and spider webs.

Directions
From Atlanta, take Interstate 85 South to Exit 18 "LaGRANGE". This road is Lafayette Parkway (GA 109), go Right towards downtown LaGrange. Stay on GA 109 through town until you arrive at a new turn off for GA 109, watch the signs and turn to the right to stay on GA 109. Proceed until you reach Whitaker Road (there will be a Shell gas station on your right) - Turn right on Whitaker Road. Proceed on Whitaker until you reach Seminole Road and turn left on Seminole. Highland Marina Resort is at the end of Seminole Road.
