Best Time To Visit: Any time of year makes a great visit to the northwest Georgia mountains in Jasper and Pickens County. The fall is especially beautiful with the changing leaf color.
What You'll Need for Your Visit: Wear comfortable walking shoes for the self-guided historical building tour.
The Society conducts six informative meetings each year, has created a self guided tour (with the assistance of the Ga. Humanities Council) of the "Ten Most Historic Buildings" in down town Jasper. MVHS also operates two attractions at 201 North Main Street, Jasper, Georgia—The Old Pickens County Jail (a museum) and the Kirby Quinton Heritage Cabin.

Directions
Jasper is located just off Hwy 515 (end of I-575) on GA Hwy 53. It's along what is referred to as the Georgia Mountain Parkway and Zell Miller Highway.
