ATL

I'm a resident of Atlanta and regular try to enjoy all the City has to offer, but I simply can't recommend Underground to tourists anymore unless they are literally staying in a hotel downtown nearby, and are used to urban issues.
Underground does have a very unique look inside, being literally underground where during the Civil War the actual streets were in downtown Atlanta. But generally speaking, most of what you see there are now "mall type stores", with only a handful of places having true regional appeal.
Just make note: Underground is in an area of downtown (Five Points) that has been all but forgotten by the City in recent years, in regards to any type of enforcement of the vagrancy laws. It's not uncommon now to have people ask you for money numerous times, and to see vagrants asleep literally on the grass or sidewalks surrounding this area (or using the bathroom as we've seen more than once). If you're used to "big city issues" like this, it won't bother you. But if you're visiting from a more Mayberryish type of atmosphere, I probably would not recommend it - especially if you have young children in tow. At least until the City gets on it and cleans the area up.

Festival Peachtree Latino in Atlanta, GA has been the largest family and multicultural event in the southeast since 2000. They have featured hundreds of exhibitions, family activities, sporting events, parades, arts & crafts, ethnic foods, and outdoor musical performances.
