Yonah Mountain Vineyards was established in September 2005 at the base of Yonah Mountain in White County. With five acres planted in Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, Yonah Mountain Vineyards is one of northeast Georgia's newest vineyards. A member of the Winegrowers Association of Georgia, Yonah Mountain Vineyards will plant an additional 8 acres in 2010 with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Yonah Mountain Vineyards produces a high quality product in which the wine community can take pride.

We stopped by the tasting room in Sautee for the first time on a weekend in February. The wines were well presented and each was quite unique. The dessert wine with Godiva chocolate is really special.
