Start your weekend off with An Evening of Oysters & Wine on Friday, April 13, 6pm-8pm at Marlin Monroe's at Beachside Colony. Enjoy an evening sampling oysters paired with wines. There will stations serving different oyster delicacies along with wines that compliment oysters. There will also be stations with non-seafood fare. The 2012 Tybee Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, April 14 on the grounds of the Tybee Lighthouse. This year we will feature a “Grand Tasting” with international wines, craft beers and morsels from the island’s favorite restaurants. The weekend of events is a fundraiser presented by the Friends of the Tybee Theater, a 501(3)c organization. Funds raised are used for the restoration of the Tybee Post Theater.
