Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. Hermia's father prefers Demetrius, and since Athenian law allows Hermia just four days to choose between Demetrius, life in a nunnery, or death, the ever-defiant Hermia chooses to escape with Lysander into the surrounding forest. And there, the magic begins! Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy will take you on a spectacular journey through a moonlit forest on a midsummer night. See what happens when a love potion ends up in the hands of the mischievous Puck, and the lives and desires of lovers – both mortal and magical – are turned upside down.
Performing at Gainesville State College's Ed Cabell Theatre. Directed by Elisa Carlson and rated PG.
Tickets are $16-18 for adults, $14-16 for seniors and $10-12 for students.
