Learn basic land navigation. An explanation of the compass, true north vs. magnetic north, bearing/azimuth, terrain features and contour lines, application of the compass to the map and map to the compass, and pacing will all be covered.     Adopt-A-Wetland (AAW) teaches citizens about freshwater wetland systems, their threats and importance, as well as how to identify hydric soils and plants. Come out to learn all about wetlands and how you can help collect data to promote their conservation and protection. $5 plus $5 parking.
