The 8th Annual Dahlonega Literary Festival & Writer’s Conference will occur Nov. 10-13 at various locations on the Historic Square in Dahlonega, Georgia. The Festival will also feature the Don Bacek Literary IQ Quiz and Scavenger Hunt. Festival authors include Terry Kay (Keynote Speaker), Joshilyn Jackson, Sheldon Siegel, Deanna Raybourn, Jackie Cooper, Lauretta Hannon, Jeannie Holmes, Thomas Mullen, Jana Oliver, and Jackson Pearce. The Dahlonega Downtown Development Authority/Main Street Program present the "First Friday Night Concert Series" in downtown Dahlonega's beautiful Hancock Park. The 2012 concerts will be June through October. All concerts are free to the public and begin at 6:30 PM.

The 2012 Dahlonega Appalachian Jam is scheduled for April 28 through October 13. Listeners and musicians alike enjoy the acoustic bluegrass and old time string music on the Public Square from 2 pm until 5 pm every Saturday.

The inaugural North Georgia Chamber Music Festival will feature world class musicians performing on June 15, 17, 22 & 24 at the campus of North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega.
