In 1862, the Great Locomotive Chase went speeding through Allatoona Pass during the Civil War. Tour the pass with historians and reenactors as they tell the story of the locomotive chase. The General went through this pass after it was stolen by Union soldiers known as Andrews Raiders. $5 parking. 770-975-0055.  Handicap Accessible. (Directions to this event: I-75 Exit 283, east 1.5 miles to Allatoona Pass Battlefield.)

    Enjoy our free "Mountain Music" concerts every Saturday night. A different band each week will play for an hour or more. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and meet at the Vaughan log cabin located behind the park office. $5 parking. 770-975-0055.
