Each month will cover a different topic relating to science and nature. The day will be divided up into two sessions and will cover the same topic on an appropriate level for that age group. Session 1 10am-12pm Children 9 and under. Session 2 1pm-3pm Children 10 and up. $5 parking. 229-896-3551.

Bring your flashlights, jars, and other collection materials. Meet our interpretative ranger at trailhead to go on a hunt to spot spiders in the dark. Please wear appropriate walking shoes and bring a flashlight. $5 parking. 229-896-3551.

Come spend national trails day with our interpretative ranger and enjoy a guided hike through the park. We will have two different hikes varying in trail difficulty. Be prepared for all weather conditions and bring good hiking boots and water. Register in advance. $5 parking. 229-896-3551.

Children ages 6-9 will enjoy hiking, crafts, learning about the outdoors and having a lot of fun. This four-day camp session allows children to earn the first badge in the Jr. Ranger book. Register in advance. $40 plus $5 parking. 229-896-3551.

We will be removing trash from the Little River and Reed Bingham lake. Experienced canoeists and kayakers have the opportunity to paddle down the little river while picking up garbage. Canoes and kayaks are available to volunteers for half off. Please register in advance to ensure your rental.

In celebration of NPLD, we will host a Play Day for kids using the KABOOM! Activity Kit. The first Rivers Alive kayak clean-up trip has a few more available spots so call to register. Volunteers are also needed to help Home Depot and park staff.
