Simply put, environmental sustainability ensures that the earth’s natural resources will still be available for future generations. Through interactive explorations of water, energy, waste, biodiversity, green building, and sustainable food, visitors of all ages will learn how to “be green while saving green.” Hands-on and minds-on activities in this exhibit are designed to increase the understanding of how innovative technology... and smart design (like solar collectors in paint and composting toilets) along with environmental mindedness (reusable shopping bags) can make a world of difference. Sustainable Solutions will be an inspiration for people of all backgrounds to recognize and celebrate the capacity of an individual to contribute to the sustainability of our planet.
