30 acres of display gardens and shady woodlands featuring plant collections including roses, herbs, conifers, carnivorous plants, and more. Special features include the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory, home to rare and endangered tropical and desert plants, and the Children's Garden, a unique, hands-on garden with a health and wellness theme. The Fuqua Orchid Center includes a High Elevation Orchid House and a Tropical Orchid House, both beautiful throughout the year.

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a great respite from the city that surrounds it. More than just a garden, there are lots of planned activities and classes suited to a variety of interests.

Beautiful gardens (if a bit small in acreage). They are expanding though, and the new "green" eco-friendly parking garage makes parking MUCH easier.
Good selection of various plants and "zones" throughout the place, and there are some great photo opportunities for those who enjoy taking photos, too. You can from the new parking garage now step straight down into Piedmont Park next door and walk around the lake, and get some nice shots of the Midtown skyline.
Great way to unwind and spend the day.
