- Best time to Go -Macon, Georgia has something to sing about all year round! During the winter months, the MAGA: Macon Film and Video Festival, Friends of the Old Library Book Sale, and the Winter Arts Festival take place. Spring bursts open with the world reknown International Cherry Blossom Festival followed by the beautiful Gardens, Mansions & Moonlight Tour. April kicks off the annual Pan African Festival of Georgia and Fired Works exhibits regional ceramics, pottery and unique pieces - all for sale! The Georgia State Fair is now hosted each spring to round out the spring months. Fall offers a variety of exciting events including the Georgia Music Hall of Fame's Georgia Music Week. The Ocmulgee Indian Celebration is hosted annually celebrating more than 12,000 years of American Indian heritage and culture.
