Thomas Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States, lived with his family in Augusta for nearly 13 years between 1858 and 1870. His father was named pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Augusta. President Wilson spent more years in the Presbyterian manse (1860-1870) than in any other dwelling place. Historic Augusta, Inc. acquired the home in 1991. Both the Service Wing and the Carriage House have been restored to their original design.
