  • Additional Fee Info: Veterans (with proper ID) may enter the park and use all amenities free of charge. There is a charge for park entrance and use of the boat ramp for all others. Annual passes are available. The pavilion is available to rent. For current fees, to purchase an annual pass, or to reserve the pavilion, call 770-278-PLAY.

Rockdale County's Black Shoals Park at Randy Poynter Lake is located in north Rockdale and includes areas for picnicking, hiking, and a 650-acres reservoir. Randy Poynter Lake is a great place for fishing, boating, and canoeing. A fishing pier, bank fishing and a boat ramp are available, as well as, a picnic pavilion. Randy Poynter Lakes serves as the community's drinking water reservoir, therefore, no swimming or gasoline motors are allowed. Electric, sail, row, or man-powered boats are the only vessels allowed. All boats must be off the water at least 30 minutes before park closing.
