Explore the farm! Hear the train whistle blow! Experience 19th century-style farm activities, from planting and harvesting to cooking, spinning, and quilt making throughout the structures. Georgia’s Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village opened as the Agrirama on July 4, 1976. Over 35 structures have been relocated to the 95-acre site and faithfully restored or preserved. Costumed docents share the history and lifestyle of this time in Georgia’s history as they perform daily chores and duties in the farmhouses, blacksmith shop or gristmill.
Climb aboard the Vulcan Iron Works Steam Locomotive, the only steam powered train in regular operation in the state of Georgia, and enjoy the Historic Village from the seat of an open air rail car. Or stroll up main street to the Feed and Seed Store, the Print Shop or visit the drug store for a Rootbeer Float.
