Hop on the train, relax and experience the romance of rail travel. The train winds through rolling hills alongside the waters of the Toccoa River. The view changes with the seasons.

Tucked into the charming mountain village of Blue Ridge, Georgia in the lush Chattahoochee National Forest, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is here to take you on the trip of a lifetime!

The area is known as the “antique capital” of Georgia with friendly folks and an old time atmosphere. We now have available our guide book entitled Along the Way Blue Ridge Scenic Trip Guide. This booklet is structured like a self-guided tour. It will give you infomation about the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (BRSR) between Blue Ridge, GA and McCaysville, GA/Copperhill, TN and assist you in identifying points of interest! These books can be obtained in our Depot Ticket Office or Gift Shop. Be certain to stop in and pick one up before your trip.

Great for family fun & relaxation!

We have been on the train several times and have made it a family tradition. It is good wholesome fun that brings the family close together. The train runs along the Toccoa River through the forests north of downtown Blue Ridge. Spring and Fall are in my opinion the best time for nature. On the other hand more crowded! Consider renting a cabin (Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals) and find quality time - decompress - reconnect!
