Welcome to Old Clinton, Georgia! Tours available by reservation. Georgia's early 19th century county seat. Only Clinton has survived sufficiently free of modern development to give an idea of the layout and appearance of this early New England town. Twelve houses built between 1808-1830 and the Methodist Church, 1821, still stand. Self-guided driving and walking tours.

  • The Old Clinton Historical Society has completed the restoration of this house, circa 1809-10, and the oldest remaining structure in town.
  • In May, come and witness authentic weapons and cannons as they rattle the windows of Clinton houses once again.
  • Come take part in the annual Civil War reenactment of the 1864 Battle of Griswoldville.
  • Operating since 1958 and still a family-run business three generations later, this unique joint and its famoust pit were also featured on Discovery Channel's "Dirty Jobs."
