Built in 1915 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Thomasville Center for the Arts' home is the beautifully restored and much-loved East Side Elementary School Building. Annually the Center hosts 20 different art exhibits so guests will always find a diversity of art genres in a variety of media. Artists with national and international reputations, as well as outstanding state and regional artists, are represented in the Center's exhibition schedule. The Center's stage provides the perfect venue for top international entertainers during the Thomasville Entertainment Foundation's yearly concert series (visit www.tefconcerts.com for upcoming performances). The Center is also home to the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival held every November which features many of America's premier wildlife artists, wildlife exhibits and nature activities. Last, but certainly not least, the Thomasville Center for the Arts offers numerous classes, lectures and workshops for all ages interested in learning about the arts.
