The North Georgia Mountains is home to the quaint Alpine town of Helen. Many events that the Helen Chamber sponsors envolves the entire area; fishing, golfing, shopping, hiking, German hertiage. The clean sparkaling Chattahoochee River serves as the backdrop to the annual trout tournament in March; opening the season of many things for visitors to do. With many water falls and hiking trails, Helen is a natural place for a German started event of volksmarching, which is done in April. The summer is full of shopping, eating, and resting at the many hotels. Tubing is a relaxing and cooling experience in the Chattahoochee River for all ages during the hot summer months. The Helen Area is a mulitude of experiences is a very small area.
