The Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial  is located on a twelve-acre site at Randy Poynter Lake in Rockdale County. This serene setting provides the perfect backdrop for visitors to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to remember, reflect, and rejoice as well as foster a common understanding of the sacrifices and uncommon dedication of veterans and their families. A visit to the park will indelibly etch in the minds of the future leaders that freedom comes at a price - including the ultimate sacrifice of laying down one's life. The Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial is a monument in the making. While the memorial has begun, there is still much to be accomplished. You can be a part of the process and help build the dream.
