Best Time To Visit: While Cherokee Lake Park is beautiful any time of year, you should not miss it in the spring (March & April) when the Thomasville Rose Garden is in full bloom and the whole area celebrates springtime with the Thomasville Rose Show and Festival held annually each April! What You'll Need for Your Visit: Fishing Poles and Walking Shoes!
Cherokee Lake Park in Thomasville is a little getaway all by itself! The park has a 1 mile paved walking path around a fishing lake, complete with bridges and piers with built-in benches. There are several covered picnic spots, restrooms, and a modern playground for the kids. The park is also adjacent to the Thomasville Rose Garden which is in bloom throughout the spring and summer months. Admission and parking are free and the park is open from dawn to dusk.
