ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Best Time To Visit: Savannah is a beautiful city year around. Springtime features a magnificient wonderland of flora, especially in March and April. During Spring is the Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens (about 40k visitors) and Savannah Music Festival (about 50k visitors). Savannah shows off its semi-tropical paradise with a sultry summer with a more leisured, less crowded city. The fun is to find all the great spots to "chill" while sightseeing or shopping -- such as the nostalgic Leopold's Ice Cream shop, a cold coffee at Expresso Gallery on Chippewa Square, or a legendary salad from Harris Baking Co. on Drayton at Liberty. Mix it up ... head to the beach, the riverfront, a cruise up the Savannah River or take an excursion to the barrier islands. Early Fall offers perfect weather and great deals, until October's high season. One fascination is Savannah's haunted places. Thanksgiving is a quiet, classic time, followed by winter's Festival of Lights ...and Christmas at Azalea Inn & Gardens.

What You'll Need for Your Visit: We recommend very comfortable walking shoes and casual, layered clothes to explore Savannah's historic district by foot. Take along a bottle of water in summer or stop often for something cool to drink in chic, fun spots like Parker's Maret on Drayton Street.
