Best Time To Visit: Every season provides a reason to visit and explore. Please note that butterflies at the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center are most active between the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Callaway Gardens is an award-winning, 13,000-acre gardens, resort and preserve nestled in the southernmost foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, in Pine Mountain, Georgia. In addition to three types of accommodations, 9 restaurants and plenty of shopping, guests at this family-friendly getaway enjoy lots to see and do. Great during Christmas
I've only been to Callaway Gardens for the Christmas celebrations. However, it's a great place for this.
There is the ride to look at lights, there's a little Christmas village you can visit, and overall the place looks great for the holidays.
The rooms are a little outdated, and it's a touch more expensive than I'd like, but overall a fun destination. -
A great escape..
Callaway is a great place to take your family, especially in the summer months. There is something there for everyone to enjoy. They have a beach, nature center, all kinds of lessons (fly fishing, skiing, etc.), bike trails, a great spa and more! It truly is fun for the whole family! It is close to the Atlanta Metro area, but you feel like you are so far away.

There is a lot of stuff to do here
This park is massive! There are so many attractions here, from the Butterfly conservatory (bring lots of batteries for your digital) to the Birds Of prey attraction. They have horticulture center that is bigger and I think better than ATL Botanical. This place is a must go if you like nature.
