Brasstown Bald, located in the northeast corner of Georgia, is truly a sight not to be missed. The highest point in Georgia, even in the heat of August, when you're on top of the mountain, you may need a light jacket. Be sure to hike to the top of the mountain and look around at the Observeration Tower, which has a 360-degree vista.
