The Crawford Long Museum and Jefferson Public Library will be hosting a Lunch and Learn event, "September to Remember" with local author, Harry Bryan.

Four Artists - Jill Ediger & Robert Ediger, Pamela Keene, Carlton R.Safford will be featured in simultaneous exhibits along with works from members of the Georgia Watercolor Society.

From May through October, every Friday night at 7 pm, the Union County Historical Society invites musicians to perform a free concert in the courtroom at the Old Courthouse.

The Musical comedy, Nunsense is presented by the savannah River Productions at the Commerce Cultural Arts Center in Northeast Georgia.

Joel Thompson's collection features multiple mediums such as photography, watercolor and oil to name a few. His work features landscapes, portraits, Native Americans, and African art. This exhibit can be view at The Art Center, downtown Hartwell, opening September 10-29, 2010.

The Hart County Farmers Market is a variety of locally grown vegetables and fruit from Hart County and surrounding areas. The farmers market is held every Tuesday and Saturday in Downtown Hartwell, Georgia.

Immerse yourself in the rich tradition of healing with medicines made from local plants. A medicinal plant hike and medicine making demonstration will also be included with a focus on stocking the winter medicine cabinet. Interpretive Ranger and Herbalist Johnna Tuttle is the instructor.

Hall County Farmers Market provides local residents and visitors direct access to locally grown fresh fruites and vegetables. May through October on Tuesday at 6am and Saturday mornings at 7am.  

Come to Clarkesville in Northeast Georgia and enjoy free outdoor concerts at the downtown Gazebo.

Dragon boat racing is one of the fastest-growing water sports in the world. It is also one of the oldest, beginning 2,000 years ago in China. This annual event is held at Lake Lanier Olympic Venue in Gainesville, GA.

Wine Song, sponsored by Yonah Mountain Vineyards, is a summer celebration of wine, food and music. It is held the second Saturday of each month at Sautee Village in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia. Each month a different musical artist and restaurant will be featured.

This tournament is co-sponsored by Home Depot and Hart County Golden Kiwanis. It will be held at the Lake Hartwell Gum Branch Recreation Facility which features Hart County's NEW Mega Ramp. Proceeds for this tournament will be used to purchase materials for building ramps for the handicapped.

Art in the Square in Downtown Gainesville is free to the public and will feature fine arts and crafts, including paintings, photography, pottery, handmade jewelry, RAKU firing, wood carvings, painted screen doors, quilts, ceramics, bird houses and stained glass.

Talents and skills of the early 1800s pioneers are brought back to life. Special demonstrators will be on hand for spinning, weaving, blacksmithing, hearth cooking, and doll making and other pioneer skills.
