Suches is located in the North Georgia Mountains. At 3,000 feet above sea level, it's one of the highest elevation communities in the state. It's at the junction of state highways 60 and 180. It's an unincorporated community in Union County.

This recreation area in Blairsville-Union County offers scenic vistas of Yahoola Valley, picknicking and hiking. The Appalachian Trail crosses GA Hwy 60 at this point.
