Looking for some things to do while you’re on St. Simons Island? Here’s what our friends at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort recommend:

Cruise the Pier Village

Stroll around the Village’s unique shops, then grab a bite to eat or recharge with an ice cream cone. Afterward, make your way toward the St. Simons Lighthouse for a tour of one of five remaining lighthouses in Georgia. Vacationing with kids (or maybe you’re a kid at heart)? Stop by the Neptune Park FunZone for a round of mini-golf.

"Sea" St. Simons

St. Simons Paddleboard & Kayak

From catamarans and sunset cruises to dolphin tours and paddleboarding the area’s famed golden marshes, there are several ways to “sea” the island. You can even enjoy an afternoon on a real shrimp boat with a naturalist who will tell you about the area’s sea creatures as you lower the nets for a Golden Isles version of "show and tell."

Immerse Yourself in the Arts

Shopping on St. Simons Island

Live music happens daily around St. Simons, but during the summer you can find the locals enjoying several outdoor music events like the “Sounds by the Sea” series and “A Little Light Music” near the pier and lighthouse. There are several art galleries around the island to visit. With picturesque landscapes of the area, it’s easy to see why so many artists are inspired in the Golden Isles.

Grab a Fork

Southern Soul Barbeque on St. Simons Island

With more than 80 restaurants on St. Simons Island, there’s definitely something for every taste, so be sure to come hungry! If you want to eat like a local, make sure you eat breakfast at Palmer's Village Cafe, lunch at Gnats Landing (don’t miss the fried pickles) and dinner at Georgia Sea Grill. Southern Soul Barbeque is another must, so work that one in, too! Sundays are for brunch at ECHO. Revel in a scrumptious menu with bottomless mimosas and an unlimited Bloody Mary bar while enjoying the oceanfront view.
