In the glass: bourbon, blood-orange ginger shrub, rosemary-sage syrup, Campari and lemon juice, garnished with pickled ginger and an orange slice.

If you've already eaten your stash from your apple picking trip to North Georgia this fall, this cocktail at Brezza Cucina in Ponce City Market, featuring bourbon and brandy from Atlanta-based ASW Distillery might bring back those fun memories.

For another take on apples that falls somewhere between summer sangria and winter mulled wine, try this cocktail at STK in Atlanta's Midtown neighborhood, or try making it at home with this recipe:

  • Wine glass with dragon fruit slice and orange slice (if you cannot find dragon fruit: sliced honey crisp apples)
  • 1 oz. Bacardi rum
  • 2.5 oz. Angry Orchard cider
  • 2 oz. pinot noir
  • 1 oz. cinnamon syrup (equal parts simple syrup and cinnamon)
  • Build drink in wine glass over ice and roll liquid back to another glass twice to blend.
