Georgia may not be known nationally for its sports teams (yet!), but sports-centered films have made their mark on the state. Watch some of our favorites to recreate the excitement of going to a game without leaving your couch.

Remember the Titans (2000)

Denzel Washington stars alongside then-unknown stars Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panettiere, Donald Faison and Ryan Gosling in a film about a racially integrated high school football team. Two coaches must work together to bring unity to the team or risk being fired. Filming for "Remember the Titans" took place in Atlanta, Covington, Decatur and Rome, in particular on the campus of Berry College. A number of local high schools also were used.

Trouble with the Curve (2012)

The incomparable Clint Eastwood stars alongside Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake in 2011's "Trouble with the Curve." Eastwood plays Gus, an aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout whose team is trying to edge him out. His friend Pete suggests that his estranged daughter help him on the road. The movie was filmed around Georgia, specifically in AthensAtlanta, Dawsonville and Young Harris. Luther Williams Field in Macon, former home of the Macon Braves, was one of the notable locations as well as Atlanta's Turner Field, former home of the Atlanta Braves, and Home Grown Restaurant. The Blind Side (2009)

Based on the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless youth turned NFL pro taken in by a Memphis family, "The Blind Side" is one of Georgia's Oscar-winning filmsAtlanta stood in for the Tennessee city in the film, which starred Sandra Bullock, Kathy Bates and Tim McGraw. Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Grant Park (home of Zoo Atlanta), and The Shed at Glenwood were used as locations.

The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000)

A soldier turned aspiring golfer meets Bagger Vance, a "mystical caddy," who changes his game and his life. Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Matt Damon star in the 2000 movie. Much of coastal Georgia was used for film locations, including the Lucas Theatre and Forsyth Park in Savannah, and the Jekyll Island Club Hotel.

We Are Marshall (2006)

Tragedy strikes the football team of West Virginia's Marshall University in a real-life 1970 plane crash. It claimed the lives of most of the young players and coaches. "We Are Marshall" tells of the community's rebuilding, led by coach Jack Lengyel. Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Fox and January Jones star. Some filming took place on location in West Virginia while other scenes used the Atlanta University Center
