Sylvester Plantation Trace

Sylvester is known as the Peanut Capital of Georgia and is home to the annual Peanut Festival every October. While you’re there, visit Ole Engine 100, a 1930s locomotive, in Jeffords Park. Explore some of Sylvester’s other parks too, such as Shipp or Gervaise.

Located in the heart of Southwest Georgia, Sylvester is a laid back, charming southern city with the heart of a progressive, vibrant community. We are often dubbed the "Peanut Capital of the World" due to our peanut production.
