Georgia Film

Baseball legend Jackie Robinson grew up in the south Georgia town of Cairo before he went on to break Major League Baseball's color barrier. "42" honors his number and the state he came from in the story, which chronicles his signing to the Brooklyn Dodgers and the 1947 season. He faces discrimination from everyone, including gas station employees and fellow baseball players, but he goes on to become one of the best players of all time. Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford and Christopher Meloni star in the film.
