To help commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Georgia Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Office, Georgia Tourism is hosting a special screening of the Georgia-lensed movie "Zombieland" at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
Before the screening of the movie, attendees are invited to take part in a costume contest for a chance to $1,000 in prizes and a pair of one-day memberships to Dragon Con on Labor Day weekend in Atlanta. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. dressed like a zombie or their favorite Georgia-filmed movie character. The winners of Georgia Tourism's "Homegrown with a Twist" Summer Celebration video contest also will be announced and shown on the big screen.
