The Old Post Office
The Old Post Office received the 2013 Marguerite Williams Award by The Georgia Trust for Excellence in Restoration. Built in 1911, the grand neoclassical post office building features vaulted ceilings, marble-edged floors, arched windows, and revolution front door. The post master's office holds one of two large safes that still carry the U.S. seal and louvered windows that allowed the postmaster to watch over the work room from the second floor.
Original fixtures can be viewed throughout the lobby, including a functional electrical panel and glass paper towel holders in the restrooms.
Now a thriving Internet techology company, the owner of The Old Post Office invites the public to explore and be inspired by the beautiful architecture and collection of memorabilia in Dublin's Old Post Office.
