Classic literature gets hip during MC Lars' high energy hip hop show featuring the works of Edgar Allen Poe. Stanford educated Andrew Robert MacFarlane Nielsen, known by his stage name MC Lars, brings a whole new flavor to Theatre Dublin with hits like Flow Like Poe and Mr. Raven.

This Stanford alumni smashes up classical literature with a hip hop beat to appeal to the masses. His graduate studies at Oxford in England cemented this oxymoron of entertainment! Self-proclaimed originator of "post-punk laptop rap," MC Lars recreates classic stories through rap, bringing a modern twist to old school writers like Shakespeare to kids of all ages.

MC Lars takes the stage at Theatre Dublin on Thursday, October 1 at 7 p.m. with his energetic style. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased online at http://www.theatredublinga.com, at Theatre Dublin's box office Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or at the box office two hours prior to show time.
