We pride ourselves on giving our runners an extraordinary experience with a weekend full of fun events. The marathon and half marathon are open to runners and walkers of all ages and skills. Albany, Georgia offers a flat, spectator-friendly course. The Albany race is ranked as one of the top Boston qualifiers in the country. With over 20 percent of all marathon finishers qualifying, this is one of the nation's fastest marathons. A free admission ticket will be given to each participant for the Music Festival. It is an all day event that kicks off downtown at noon and features bands, kids' activities, vendors and crafters until midnight. The Albany Marathon and Half Marathon awards $12,000 in prize money to marathon finishers, including $3,000 to first male and female, $2,000 to second male and female, $1,000 to third male and female. All age categories and masters will receive awards for the top three finishers.

    The 14th annual Mardi Gras Street Festival event will begin at noon on Saturday, March 7 with two stages of live music and dance performances, food and arts & crafts vendors. There will be tons of children activities including face painting, animal and puppet shows, carnival rides, jumpy houses, rock climbing, and games with prizes! Live bands will continue rockin' the stage until midnight. Admission is $5 per visitor, children 10 and under free with paid visitor.
