The 12th annual photography festival showcases the complexity, beauty and contradictions of the rural American South. Located one hour south of Atlanta, SlowExposures 2014 welcomes the public, photographers, and collectors from across the country. See great fine art photography depicting the rural South in several venues - all staged in 19th century historical buildings throughout Pike County, a landscape where once, "cotton was king."

The main juried show at R.F. Strickland's in Concord features work from more than 40 established and emerging photographers from across the nation. Receptions, cutting-edge workshops, portfolio reviews, and book signings provide a memorable experience for the visitor. On Sunday, Jurors Alexa Dilworth and Aline Smithson will discuss their process of choosing this year's show from among 1,000 entries. Following their presentation, visitors will be able to meet and talk with many of the photographers during J.A.M. (Jurors and Artists Mingling).
