The Smithsonian Institution's Museum on Main Street exhibit "Hometown Teams" is coming to Jonesboro, Georgia on the 20th anniversary of the Centennial Olympics, when the world came to historic Main Street Jonesboro for the torch relay and the first-ever Olympic Beach Volleyball competition. This exhibit explores what sports and hometown teams mean to individuals, families and communities. Arts Clayton Gallery and the City of Jonesboro, in cooperation with Georgia Humanities, will celebrate this Olympic legacy and other important local sports connections when "Hometown Teams" is on display.
