The Dodge County Public Fishing Area features a 104-acre lake stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill (bream), redear sunfish, crappie, and channel catfish, and more than 444 acres of land for exploration. Other amenities include a one-mile interpretive hiking trail, concrete boat ramps, fishing pier, fish cleaning station, public restrooms, picnic tables, pavallions, and a nature trail, with some facilities accessible to persons with disabilities.

The Dodge County Public Fishing Area is home to an annual children's fishing rodeo sponsored by the Dodge County Sportsman Club and the Bobberthon Fishing Tournament.

The Group Shelter is available to rent for meetings, family reunions and other special events. It features kitchen facilities, heating and air conditioning, lake views, attached pavillion, tables and chairs, private restroom facilities and more.
